Child Support Payer’s Alliance [CSPA]
Membership Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Membership Services

    1.   Membership services and benefits will be supplied by us and our affiliates.
      1. Full Membership is on a financial basis;
      2. Associate Membership is on a non-financial basis.
    2.   CSPA will provide Members with a range of information and service as part of its membership,including but not limited to Legal Information but excluding Legal Advice unless expressly stated to be so.
    3.   The provision of such information is at all times at the absolute discretion of CSPA and is subject to change, variation or cancellation at any time.
    4.   Details of CSPA’s membership services and benefits are provided on our Website. [www.childsupport.com.au]
  2.  Financial Member’s Services

    1. Supplemental, specialist and customised services and or products may be made available, on a fee for service or product basis, at special rates for Members in most cases. Such services and or products may include but are not limited to: Third party Products and or Services.
  3.  Fees & Membership Renewal

    1. Financial Membership is provided on an annual subscription basis and will continue to be provided so long as your membership fees are not in arrears. Membership fees will be reviewed annually and may be subject to increase at our discretion.  We will notify you of any change to your annual membership fee in accordance with the CSPA Constitution.
    2. Membership fees, for all legal purposes, are paid as a donation and may be spent at the discretion of the CSPA but, as far as practicable, will be used for the benefit of the members.
    3. We may cancel any full membership where membership fees are in arrears. In this circumstance, we reserve the right to:
      1. recover the monetary benefit of any membership discount(s) received by you whilst you were in arrears; and,
      2. withdraw the benefit of the membership discount if payment for services received and/or products supplied are not paid in full within 30 days of receipt of the invoice.
    4. Prior to the renewal date for your membership a membership renewal reminder will be emailed to you each year to the email address provided to us, or if requested, at the discretion of CSPA, or if no email address provided either a text message will be sent to your nominated mobile phone
      number or a tax invoice will be posted to the last address you provided to us.
    5. We may offer payment of your annual membership fee via PayPal, credit card or direct debit arrangement.  Membership fees which can be paid yearly or monthly in advance. If you pay monthly, then the number of payments is twelve (12) payments per annum.
    6. Should you elect to pay your annual membership subscription via monthly direct debit, your membership will be renewed automatically unless your membership is cancelled by you by written notice to us at least (30) days prior to the beginning of your new membership term.
  4.  Membership verification/validation

    1. All Members may be issued with a membership number on joining.
    2. Upon receipt of the membership payment you are recorded as a Financial Member of CSPA.
    3. Only financial Members are able to access the Financial Member services.
    4. A password will need to be created by the member by accessing our member login on the Website.
    5. You should keep your password secure and not disclose it to anyone.  In circumstances where you cannot remember your membership number, you can click lost password when logging onto the Website and a link will be emailed to you to re-set your password:
    6. If any of your details change, such as your address, telephone number or email address you must update your personal information through the website after logging on as a member as soon as  possible since changes may impact upon our ability to deliver your membership services.
  •  Lapsing of membership

    1. Where a Financial Member’s subscription is overdue, access to membership services and benefits may be denied pending payment of any outstanding subscription or other fees.
    2. We reserve the right to cancel any membership in accordance with the Constitution where membership fees are in arrears.
  •  Termination of membership

    1. Any Member who abuses, offends or puts at risk any member of the Alliance’s staff or any contractor in the carrying out of their usual duties may be charged with conduct detrimental to the Alliance.
    2. In such cases the Alliance has the power to expel the person from membership of the Alliance. On expulsion from the Alliance, the Member forfeits all rights and claims on the Alliance.
  •  Fair use of information and advice

    1.  You agree:
      1. that any information or advice we provide to you is for your use only;
      2. not to use the information or advice for commercial resale or gain;
      3. not to provide such information or advice to any third party for the use or benefit of the third party;
      4. not to use your access to our information and advice to obtain information or advice for the use of a third party.
  •  Refund policy

    1. Membership Fees are non-refundable.
  •  Voting rights

    1. Although there are various classes of membership, only financial Members have the right to vote where a vote is called for.
  •  Disclaimer

    1. We are not a legal service and provide information only. Any information provided is not intended to be legal advice and should not be relied upon in place of specific legal advice.
    2. To the full extent permitted by law, we and our related entities exclude and disclaim all liability for any loss or damage which may be suffered or incurred by any person, company or organisation arising from reliance on information provided to the recipient.
    3. We disclaim any liability, loss or risk incurred as a consequence, directly or indirectly, of the use of any of the information or advice given.
  • PRIVACY STATEMENT

    1. Your privacy is important to us. Personal information which we collect from you will only be used for the purpose of providing you with information about the range of membership services and benefits available. We may also use your personal information to keep you informed of the events and products which may be of interest to you and to provide you with promotional and marketing material about those products and services.
    2. In order to provide the range of membership services and benefits available to you:
      1. we may provide your membership details and information to our related entities; and,
      2. the related entities will be bound by the same privacy terms; and,
      3. we may provide your membership details to pre-selected service providers for and on your behalf only after you are informed that we intend to provide the details and offered the right of refusal.
      4. by accepting membership of with us, you consent to this sharing of information.
    3. Our Privacy Policy is available on our Website. You may request personal information we hold about you by emailing info@childsupport.com.au or by using the Personal Information link on our website.
  •  Interpretation & Definitions

    1. Personal pronouns:  Except where the context otherwise provides or requires:
      1. the terms we, us or our refers to CSPA; and,
      2. the terms you or your refers to Member.
    2. Defined terms: In this document, unless otherwise provided, the following terms shall have their meaning as specified.
    3. CSPA means the Child Support Payers Alliance which is an un-associated voluntary organisation committed to providing children with better child support outcomes.
    4. Member means a person or entity that has agreed to become a member of CSPA and be bound by this document and the CSPA Constitution.
    5. Financial Member means a member of CSPA who has paid an Annual Subscription Fee.
    6. Website means our website at childsupport.com.au.
